Inulin is a natural dietary fiber, a fructooligosaccharide (FOS) derived from vegetables like J. artichokes, or chicory. It is not only a natural ingredient but also a prebiotic which stimulates the growth of good intestinal bacteria which support healthy colon conditions.
Inulin has also been proven to be a good source of soluble dietary fiber and is well studied for diabetics because it does not increase the glucose level or insulin level in the blood. And, recent research has shown that inulin significantly increases the absorption of calcium.
